SEASHOPPER SAIL BAGS – STYLE WITH A STORY
SEASHOPPER offers handcrafted sail bags made from wind, sails, and a handful of sea memories.
Each bag is one of a kind – no two are ever the same.
100% recycled sails.
****The handle is solid navy blue ( not as pictured with a red stripe)
Every SeaShopper bag is created from a unique piece of upcycled sailcloth, giving new life to materials that once danced with the wind. To honour that past, we stamp the inside of every bag with the exact geographic coordinates of where the sail once sailed.
Thanks to the diversity of sails we collect, we can create colorful and distinctive bags for women who value ethical fashion and the slow fashion movement.
All bags are made in a small workshop in Poznań, Poland, using only high-quality components sourced from Europe – ropes, threads, leather. Designed and handcrafted in Poland in the spirit of sustainable fashion.
We use leftover genuine leather from large-scale production as finishing elements, and in our vintage collection, we incorporate reclaimed brass shackles and sail fittings. SeaShopper bags are not only lightweight, durable, and comfortable – they’re genuinely eco-conscious.
Wear it over your shoulder in the city, take it to work, pack it for the beach, or use it as a stylish and roomy shopping bag. It’s made to go everywhere with you.
The bag’s colours depend on the original sails we find – from classic white to bold reds, greens, and blues. We preserve authentic features: yacht numbers, sail hardware, stitching, and marks. Our sails come from the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, the UK, and also from Poland – Gdańsk, Mazuria, the Zegrze Lake, and Zalew Szczecinski.
Before sewing, every sail is carefully cleaned and hand-cut. Ropes are hand-braided. Stamps are applied by hand. Every detail is crafted with care. Every SeaShopper bag is handmade, durable, and full of ocean memories.
Daily Use
- The Seashopper bag is perfect for the beach, the city, and traveling – its lightweight construction allows for easy folding and transport.
- It can carry a lot, with a standard maximum of 5 kg. Just remember that it's made from recycled material, and constant excessive weight may negatively affect the material's structure and seams. Not to mention your shoulder.
- Be careful with sharp and rough objects; avoid prolonged rubbing against other surfaces, which could cause abrasions or other mechanical damage.
- The bags are made of water-resistant but not completely waterproof materials – excessive soaking may affect their permeability.
- The inner pouch can help organize small items but does not provide a secure closure to prevent losing things.
- Contact with open flames and extreme temperatures is not recommended – the sails may melt or get damaged.
- Products should be used according to their intended purpose.
Cleaning
- Clean light dirt with a damp cloth and a mild detergent.
- We recommend hand washing with laundry detergents or soap.
- Avoid machine washing – it can affect the material's structure, the durability of the seams, and negatively impact the structure and color of the natural leather.
- Do not dry clean.
- Do not iron.
- In case of contact with seawater – rinse with clean water and dry in a well-ventilated area. Sails love the wind.
